Two installers come with every plan
Our two installers are Installatron and QuickInstall. Both come with every hosting plan.
An installer copies the app files to your site and sets up the database for you. You do not need to type any code or use FTP.
That saves time and avoids mistakes, especially if this is your first website.
How to install an app
The steps are the same for almost every app.
Open your control panel
Log in to your cPanel hosting account with the details we sent you.
Pick an installer
Click Installatron or QuickInstall in the software or applications section.
Choose the app
Find the app you want in the list, such as WordPress, and click it.
Fill in the short form
Pick the domain, a folder if you need one, and an admin name and password.
Click Install
Wait a few seconds. The login information appears on screen when it finishes.
Which app should you pick for a business website?
Most people choose WordPress. It installs in about 30 seconds and has thousands of themes.
Because the apps are free with your hosting plan, you can try others. Popular choices include Joomla, Drupal or Moodle.
Write your admin password in a safe place. Pick a long one. A weak password is the most common way a site gets hacked.
Common mistakes to avoid
Do not install the same app twice in the same folder. It can overwrite your first copy and break the site.
Keep each app updated. The installer shows a notice when a new version is ready, and one click applies it.
If an install fails, check that the domain already points to your hosting. A domain that points elsewhere will not load the new app. Try again after the change settles, or call us and we will look.
Remove any app you no longer use. An unused app with old software is an open door for attackers.
