How do we provide such high-quality web design for such a low cost? A lot of the cost of a website is the overhead of the business that builds it. We simply do not carry the cost of operations that other companies carry. In many cases, customers are paying for high-end “packaging”. It makes them feel better about the design process, however well that business performs. We skip the packaging, so a
custom website from us costs less. We are not trying to disrespect any of the other companies in Omaha. We have referred business to some of them at times, and we feel they do their work really well. Here is another way to look at it. Once, an offshore company approached us. They advertised a web design fee of $10 per hour. We wanted to see some of their work. They showed us a very unexciting website, and we thought, okay, it is a $150 website. We asked for the total charge, and it took some prodding to get an answer. Their reply was $7000 for the website, far above what a
custom website from us costs. That was $6700 more than our $300 price, for a website we could not even sell to our customers because of its low quality. That is not what we call a fair price, whatever the hourly rate sounds like.
Are all of our websites $300? No. If we add extra applications, help with branding, create special designs or do an additional task, we need to be paid for that work. An average 5-page brochure website (a website that gives good information about your company) with a contact page is $300. We are not cheap labor, but we are very efficient.
