The Websnoogie server
Our Omaha server is built to keep your website online and fast. It runs CentOS Linux and connects to the internet at 100 Mbps. Inside is an Intel Xeon-D 1541 processor with 32 GB of RAM. We store your files on solid-state drives and add SSD caching, so your most used files open quickly.
Apache serves your pages, using mod_rewrite in a SuExec setup. Exim sends your outgoing email, and Dovecot delivers the mail you receive. Mail is part of our Omaha web hosting. cPanel is the control panel on every account. It gives you MySQL, PHP and over 140 one-click apps, including WordPress.
PHP runs as CGI in suPHP, and phpMyAdmin helps you manage your databases. Ruby on Rails, Perl and Python are installed too. Webmail with RoundCube, SquirrelMail and Horde lets you read your mail in a browser.
Every plan includes free SSL, daily backups, security monitoring and 99.999% uptime. We also offer Cloudflare and Amazon CloudFront CDN. A CDN helps your pages load faster for visitors who are far from Omaha.
Hosting costs $149 a year for WordPress and other CMS sites, and $129 a year for HTML and PHP sites. We move normal-size WordPress sites to our server for free. A larger site costs $199 one time. All of this is part of our Omaha web hosting.
