In this tutorial, we will show you how to quickly and easily edit images directly in WordPress. We do however recommend selecting an image before uploading and using Microsoft Paint™, or another photo editor.
WordPress does provide the capability to modify your website images directly within your post or page. When you click on a picture, a menu will appear above the image where you can scale the image. You can also align and preview the picture from that menu.
For additional options, you can click on the edit icon on that same menu. From this page, it will allow you to set the caption and “Alternate text” (also known as “Alt text”). You can also configure the image size and make the image a clickable link. Clicking on the advanced options at the bottom of the page will allow you to add any CSS or “Rel” attributes.
Once you are finished editing the image, just click “Update”. If you need more control of editing the image, you can also use the image editor located in the image library.
