Galleries are a great way to display your images and photos in the post or page of your website. To create a gallery, within your page or post, click, add media. On the left-hand side, you will see an option to create a gallery.
All of you previously uploaded images will be available here. Simply select the images you want to include by clicking on the images and then click the “Create a New Gallery” link on the left of the page. You will then be on a page called the Gallery Editor.
In the Gallery Editor, you can give your pictures captions and also change the order of their appearance by simply dragging them around on the page. By default, the galleries are set to be an attachment page which allows users to flip through your images. You can also set the gallery to be a media file which will display the images at full resolution and bypass any of the themes settings. If you only want the gallery viewable from the post or page, then you would make the gallery settings “none”.
You can also specify how many columns that you want the images to be in the gallery. You can also check “Display in a Random Order”, and that setting will change the order of the images each time the page is loaded. When finished with the settings, click “Insert Gallery”.
You will see a preview directly within the visual editor of your post or page. If you ever need to editor your gallery, simply click it, and select the edit icon.
