To add a new page, go to Pages > Add New in your dashboard. Type a title, add your text, then click Publish. It takes about two minutes, and you can save a draft first if you are not ready.
Why a new page helps your site
A new page gives your WordPress website more to offer. Each page can answer one question or show one service. Visitors find what they need faster.
Before you start, get your content ready. Have the text and the pictures in one folder. Resize your pictures before you upload them, so the page loads fast.
Add a new page in six steps
Log in to your WordPress dashboard first. The dashboard menu sits on the left side of the screen.
Open the Pages menu
Look at the dark column on the left. Hover over Pages, then click Add New.
Type the page title
Click the box near the top that asks for a title. Type a short, clear title, such as Our Services.
Add your content
Click in the large white area below the title. Write your text there, or paste it in from a document.
Add a picture if you want one
Click the plus button in the editor and pick Image. Choose a file from your library or upload a new one.
Preview the page
Click Preview on the right side. A new tab shows how visitors will see the page.
Publish or save a draft
Click Publish when you like the result. Click Save Draft instead if you want to finish later.
Draft, preview and publish
A draft stays hidden from the public. You can come back to it at any time. Find it under Pages > All Pages.
Preview shows the page the way a visitor sees it. Check the text, the pictures and the spacing. Look at it on your phone too, since many visitors use one.
The Publish button makes the page live right away. If you change your mind, you can switch the page back to a draft.

Common mistakes to avoid
Do not leave the title blank. WordPress will use a number in the web address, and that looks poor in search results.
Give every page its own clear title. Two pages with the same title confuse visitors and search engines.
Do not upload huge photos. A picture straight from a phone can be several megabytes. Resize it first, or the page will load slowly.
A new page does not appear in your menu on its own. Go to Appearance > Menus, tick the page, and click Add to Menu. Then save the menu.
What to do if you cannot find the page
Go to Pages > All Pages. Your page will be listed there with its status, such as Draft or Published.
If you do not see the Pages menu at all, your user role may not allow it. Ask the site owner to give you the Editor or Administrator role.

Common questions
What is the difference between a page and a post?
A page holds lasting content, such as About or Contact. A post is a dated entry, such as a news item or blog article.
Can I undo a published page?
Yes. Edit the page and switch it to a draft, or move it to the trash from Pages > All Pages.
