Usage examples
A website can link to a prefilled post, show an embedded post, and set meta tags that X reads for a preview card. The examples use a JavaScript function, an embed block and a meta tag. Each one can be copied and changed for another site.
const b = "https://x.com/intent/post";
const q = "?text="
+ encodeURIComponent(title)
+ "&url="
+ encodeURIComponent(page);
const link = b + q;This code builds a link that opens the X post window with the title and the page address filled in. The encodeURIComponent function converts the text into a safe form for a web address. A visitor then only needs to press the post button.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet">
<a href="https://x.com/user/
status/POST_ID">Post</a>
</blockquote>
<script async
src="https://platform.twitter.com/
widgets.js"></script>This block shows a public X post inside a web page. The widgets script turns the blockquote into the post view. The link inside the block is the address of the post, which the widget replaces with the full post.
<meta name="twitter:card"
content="summary_large_image">
<meta name="twitter:title"
content="Web Hosting Basics">These meta tags tell X how to draw a preview card when a page link is posted. The summary_large_image value asks for a large picture. The title tag sets the heading of the card, and the page should also carry the matching Open Graph tags.

A post on X needs a page that loads fast
A small business posts a link on X, and a reader taps it on a phone. If the page is slow or hard to read, that reader leaves within seconds. The post did its job, but the website did not. We build pages that hold a visitor long enough to read your offer and pick up the phone.
Each site we build includes an SSL certificate, which turns on the padlock in the browser. Every page gets a clear title and description, so the preview under your post matches the page behind it. We test each page at phone width before launch, since many readers who tap from X use a phone.
Hosting for a non-CMS site is $129 a year, and it includes the SSL certificate with no database to manage. WordPress hosting is $149 a year. Both plans give you a site that is ready for the traffic your posts send. You pick the plan that matches how often you post.
Count the visitors your posts bring today. Then phone 402-813-4034 so we can plan the next step together.
